Tarian Tresna – (Dance of Love)

English

Set in a rural Balinese classroom, Tarian Tresna (Dance of Love) tells the story of Ge Maha, a quiet but resolute schoolgirl who stuns her classmates and teacher by proclaiming that she is the reincarnation of goddess Sita. When asked to prove it, Ge Maha performs the Tarian Tresna, a sacred dance once inspired by the sacrifices of Balinese women who resisted Dutch colonization with courage and grace
